This week has been crazy!!!! I am beginning to think that life is crazier than ever and it is going to stay this way. Getting back into the swing of things and work has been difficult, but I knew and expected that it would!
I have had to endure more medical procedures and I think....well at least it isn't surgery but it still hurts and there is still pain....still more to come.
Now I started driving and I was feeling pretty confident but have to admit I still has PTSD. Guess what someone hit me while I was stopped. Yep, that is right I was completely stopped. This Lady in a Suburban tried to get in the turning lane next to me and went up over the median and took out my side of my Honda Pilot. I was shaking, crying...what luck I have. Luckily some witnesses stopped and gave me the license plate number as she turned and took off. She got caught. Why are we always in a hurry....hmmm I wonder?
Then I was getting ready to drive to St. George when Damon called and said he was in the worst pain in his life. Drove back home, to him to the ER and he had a kidney stone. It was weird having the role reversal. Him the patient, me the care- taker. I hated being in the ER just for the three hours, the sounds, the noise, the smells...everything came back. He is better and I am glad it was just that!
May we all take time...to enjoy the little things and not to always be in a hurry!

That is just awful how they hit you and sped off. Thank goodness for those people who were looking out for you, those were your guardian angels. I do not understand how someone can just abandon another person when they are obviously in distress as you were during this time. I know that they did not know the story of what was going on or what had happened but I try to give the society some respect in hopes that there are many good people that will watch out for another. Hang in there sweetie, sending love.
Seriously?!?! Corrine, that is just crazy! Did that woman not notice that she ran into you? And poor Damon! Take care and hang in there!
That is so terrible! I can't people actually hit and run. Thank heavens they got caught. I'm so sorry you had to through that, it would be terribly traumatic. But even more so with all that you've been through.
I've been thinking about you a lot lately and hope you are hanging in there. We think the world of you.
So sorry.
Oh my word! Thank goodness you are still here. Especially since you had to switch roles for a bit. May God continue to watch over you and your family. Get some cranberry pills from sams club give him two in the morning and one at night. I have heard that kidney stones pain is as bad if not worse than labor.
i can't believe that lady just hit you and sped off!! I'm glad she was caught, and I hope she feels terrible. If only she knew about all that you have been through, I'm sure it would change her life for the better, as it has mine. Thank you for reminding me, and all of us readers, to slow down and enjoy life.
Poor, poor Damon! that's not fun at all, especially when you see your spouse in extreme pain, and you don't know what's wrong. Garret has had quite a few kidney stones (two of which got stuck, and he had to have surgery!) You guys are being tested to the limit, aren't you?!?! I'm so glad they found out what it was and that he's doing better now. We LOVE you guys!
